Important information about this locator:

Your Information

While Intuitive Surgical is happy to provide a service that easily connects potential da Vinci Surgery patients with practicing da Vinci surgeons, you should be aware, per our privacy policy, that Intuitive Surgical may actively collect any information submitted via its web sites for the purposes of diagnostic monitoring. This means that any message you submit to physicians via this physician finder may be read by members of the Intuitive Surgical team and/or its representatives during the course of ensuring that the physician locator is being used appropriately. This information is stored in a way to prevent identifying the message comment with any individual person, but to protect your safety you should not provide any personal medical history via this site and instead discuss that history in person with your physician. Although Intuitive Surgical does not use the details of these messages for any sales or marketing purpose, by using this form you agree that you are permitting Intuitive Surgical to use any information provided under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Surgeon Training

The da Vinci Surgical System should be used only by surgeons who have developed adequate robotic skills to perform the tasks associated with each procedure and who have received specific training in the use of the da Vinci Surgical System. Training provided by Intuitive Surgical is limited to product education on the da Vinci Surgical System and does not replace the necessary medical training and experience required to perform surgery.

Intuitive Surgical makes no claims as to the competency, training or licensing of the physicians listed or identified on this site. We encourage patients to investigate your surgeon’s training and experience by searching the American Medical Association's (AMA) "Directory of Physicians in the U.S." and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) "Official Directory of Board Certified Medical Specialists".

While every reasonable effort is made to validate that surgeon listings are accurate at the time of entry, this directory may become out-of-date over time. To ensure that the information provided is accurate, patients should call the provider. Patients should also ask whether the provider accepts their insurance and should contact their insurance providers to determine whether coverage is available before pursuing treatment.

Neither Intuitive Surgical, who sponsors this site, nor any of its partners or licensees shall be liable for any losses, damages, or unrecovered charges as a result of using this directory or receiving care from a provider listed in this web site.
